Listening Between the Lines
On a call last week, I noticed how often I was preparing my response instead of really listening. Then there was silence… In that silence, I finally heard the weight in the other person’s voice.
Listening isn’t just about words. It’s about tone, hesitations, the sighs between sentences. When we pause and let silence breathe, we give others the gift of being heard and ourselves the gift of deeper connection.
Next time you’re in conversation, let there be a beat of silence before you respond. See what shifts in the space between.
